If you recently were mailed a new HUECU credit card equipped with EMV chip technology, please make sure to activate your card as soon as possible.
One of the most effective tools being used to prevent the spread of credit card fraud, EMV technology features a dynamic chip that makes it extremely difficult to copy your card should it ever be lost or stolen.
Please Note: Cards without an EMV chip will no longer work beyond May 31, 2016.
Activate
To activate your card, please call 1-800-631-3197. For international cardholders, call 727-571-2200. Once your card is activated, please stay on the line and press 1 to set up your PIN. Destroy your old card at that time as it will become inactive.
Update
Inform merchants that automatically bill your account of your new account information. Also, update online merchant accounts that store your credit card information for expedited checkout, as well as any digital wallets.
Notify
Notify any bill payment services you may use to pay your credit card bill about your new account information as soon as your new card is active.
