The HUECU 2018 Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 28th.

The Annual Meeting is open to all HUECU members. During the meeting, the President & CEO, Gene Foley, will address the membership on the state of the Credit Union. Several Board Officers will also deliver reports at the meeting, including the Chairman of the Board. The Annual Report will also be distributed with highlights from the previous year at the Credit Union.

Voting for the annual Board of Directors election will be held from 12 PM until 6 PM and the results will be announced during the meeting. Any member over 18 years old who joined prior to December 25, 2017 is eligible to vote.

I would like to continue serving on the Credit Union Board in order to support the principles of member-ownership, fiscal responsibility, and community involvement. I feel my leadership on the Board allows me to utilize my 16 years of Financial Administration experience by helping HUECU continue to provide top-notch financial services to both existing and future members.

It has been a privilege to serve the Harvard Community as a Board member for 24 years. As the current Treasurer and past Chairman of the Board, I have worked hard to ensure that our Credit Union offers the best, broadest range of services possible, at the most favorable rates for our members. I am excited about the opportunity to continue using my 35 years of Financial/ Administrative experience to help our Credit Union continue to grow and remain strong.

I am running for reelection after having served as a Director for the last 3 years. As the member of the HUECU Board, I have chaired the Credit Committee and volunteered my time as a member of the Compensation Committee, Governance Committee and Compliance Committee. If I am privileged to be reelected, I would continue to help the Harvard community become aware of and fully utilize HUECU’s many remarkable benefits. I believe that my 20 years of experience at Harvard and strong relationships with many people and constituencies of the community make me well suited for this position.

Having served as an appointed Director since August 2016, I have received an opportunity to see the exceptional menu of products that the Credit Union offers. I hope to continue board service in an elected capacity and focus on the areas I am passionate about – supporting students through attractive student loan options, supporting the community with affordable lending and mortgage products, and increasing financial literacy opportunities for our members.

As a Senior HR Consultant and Training Coordinator for Campus Services with 20 years of experience at Harvard working with the Service and Trades population, I feel I can be an asset to the HUECU Board. My hope is to be instrumental in ensuring that all Harvard employees are given the same consideration, and can fully leverage Credit Union products and services. I look forward to helping the Credit Union design and implement programs that address any barriers to successful membership.
