If you’re an HUECU member, it’s a good bet that you know the address of your nearest branch, and where to find an ATM close to home – but what you might not know is that HUECU participates in shared branching, which means you get access to thousands of other credit union locations.

What is Shared Branching?

HUECU belongs to the CO-OP Shared Branch Network. The network is made up of credit unions from across the United States that have come together to create shared service centers. The benefits of shared branching are simple – credit union members get easy access to their accounts, cash withdrawal, and other financial services at more than 5,000 shared branching locations nationwide.

Learn more about HUECU shared branching.

You can find shared branching credit unions in every one of the 50 states; and there are 94 shared branching locations in Massachusetts alone. This means that members can take great HUECU service and account benefits with them wherever they go – whether they’re traveling to another part of the country for just a few days, studying in another state for a year, or making a long-term, permanent move.

Surcharge -Free ATMs

To make your hometown credit union even more convenient, HUECU members also get access to thousands of surcharge-free ATMs and deposit-taking ATMs across the nation.

Branch and ATM Locator

On the Go

If you’re a frequent traveler, or just the kind of person that likes to know where their closest bank branch is at all times, check out the CO-OP Shared Branch Locator app. It gives users an instant map of their closest shared branching locations, along with directions, contact information and opening hours. As an HUECU member, you can use any of the more than 5,000 locations listed in the app.

The point of a credit union is to create a community financial institution that’s run by members, for members; one that offers all the benefits of a bank, while operating with a non-profit, member-first mindset. With shared branching, HUECU can give members a full range of financial services, plus convenient ATM withdrawals and deposits, wherever they go.  Check out HUECU’s shared branching web page for more information, or download the CO-OP Shared Branch Locator app to find a shared branching location near you.
